The Five Animals Teams- The Next Steps
Congratulations to the Tigers for taking the very first lead in our school wide, year long Five Animals Teams Competition!
Every day, every student has the ability to earn points towards their teams’ rankings. Any achievement may be grounds to earn points, including earning a new belt or earning your Wude (green) Stripe. Taking ownership of the Kwoon and its grounds by mopping, … could earn you points. Participating in school events and activities… points earned. You can even earn points by dressing up for Halloween classes!
So, how, specifically, may you ask?
Participate in school events
Earning you Wude or a new belt.
Showing integrity and empathy through your attendance at open training, earning Chih stars, Shout-Outs…
Taking ownership and accountability through your mindfulness and care of the mats, helping with lawn maintenance, ensuring the altar always has flowers…
Taking Mastery in your Kung Fu seriously.
The point is, you never know how you can earn points or when you can earn points. Work hard, take accountability, show integrity and empathy and your house points will continue to rise.
Think outside of the box. Listen to your instructors explain why we do what we do, why we hold the events we hold. These lessons will give you insights on how to earn higher numbers at once. What do you think; are one hundred mindful Acts of Kindness more valuable than one? 🤔
Keep your eyes open; your Team Plaques, featuring your Team Badge and colours, will soon be on display, with the leading team taking a place of honour. The order will be updated on a regular basis, so teams may see where they are currently ranking. Remember, the winner for the year will be announced at our Annual Chinese New Years Banquet.
