SRKF Break-A-Thon 2026

COVID-19 has changed us over these past two years. How we communicate, how we work together as a community — it has all changed. It is important to remember that with all the challenges created by COVID-19, there are still the same chronic, ongoing issues plaguing our most vulnerable that have been intensified and complicated by the pandemic.

Kung Fu is much more than just kicking and punching, it has to be. Training in Kung Fu is empowering and what we do with that empowerment is a very important responsibility. Silent River Kung Fu’s Intelligent Curriculum includes several projects that promote compassion and emotional intelligence, empowering us to literally be the change we want to see in the world. Our Break-A-Thon is one such project.

If each student is able to raise $100 by breaking 10 boards in this year’s Break-A-Thon, our non-profit association, the Silent River Benevolent Foundation, will be able to continue to support important charities and initiatives with the funds we raise.

If you have any questions, please ask your Sifu or post them on this thread so everyone can benefit from your query. You can download your own copy of our pledge sheet from Kwoon Talk's Downloads.

Thank you in advance for your active engagement in this project.

Tiger Challenge

Tiger Challenge

All our students are sure to benefit from this fun-oriented intra-school tournament, which promises to provide an exciting environment for everyone involved.

With many diverse events to choose from, there will undoubtedly be competitions that appeal to each individual participant. Our wish is to provide the children a meaningful training goal that will carry them through the entire year, helping them stay focused on their kung fu training despite all the various distractions that the year may bring. The adult competitions will serve to assist our students in taking their training to the next level and perhaps offer the final push needed for those who are striving to achieve their black belt. Additionally, this tournament will also be excellent preparation for those students who are eager to compete in the open tournament circuit later this year.

Check Kwoon Talk for more details.
